The Story Behind HabitForge

A Solo Leveling-inspired habit tracker built by a solo developer who believes that building habits should feel like leveling up in your favorite RPG.

Why HabitForge Exists

Like many people, I struggled with building consistent habits. I tried dozens of habit trackers, but they all felt like chores — checkboxes to tick off without any sense of progress or achievement.

Then I watched Solo Leveling. Seeing Sung Jin-Woo transform from the weakest hunter to the strongest through his daily quest system sparked an idea: What if building habits felt like leveling up in an RPG?

That's how HabitForge was born — a habit tracker that treats your daily habits as quests, rewards you with XP, and lets you watch yourself level up over time. It's the System, but for real life.

Built by a Solo Developer

HabitForge is built and maintained by a single developer — no venture capital, no large team, just one person passionate about creating something that actually helps people build better habits.

This means every feature is carefully considered, every bug fix is personal, and every piece of feedback from the community directly shapes the app's future. When you use HabitForge, you're supporting an indie developer who genuinely cares about your success.

I use HabitForge myself every single day. If it's not good enough for me, it's not good enough for you.

What We Believe

HabitForge is built on a few core principles that guide every decision:

Privacy First

Your habits are personal. Your data stays on your device, encrypted and secure. No accounts, no cloud tracking.

Gamification Done Right

XP and levels that motivate, not manipulate. No dark patterns, no addiction mechanics — just genuine progress.

Simplicity

Powerful features without complexity. HabitForge should help you build habits, not become another task to manage.

Community Driven

Features are shaped by user feedback. Join our Discord to request features, report bugs, and connect with fellow Forgers.
