We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how HabitForge ("we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use our mobile application ("the App").

1. General Information

We designed HabitForge with privacy in mind. Your habit data is stored securely and locally on your device. We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email, or contact details.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

  • We do not require you to create an account.
  • We do not collect or store your personal habits, progress, or notes on our servers. It is stored locally on your device.
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your data with third parties.
  • We do not display advertising.
  • All habit-related data stays offline on your device and is encrypted at rest.

3. Data We May Collect

While we do not collect habit data or personal identifiers, the following limited technical data may be collected to help us improve the App:

3.1 Crash Reports & App Diagnostics

We may use third-party services such as Firebase Crashlytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) or similar tools to collect anonymous crash reports and error logs. These reports may include information such as:

  • Device model, operating system version
  • App version and configuration
  • Time of error or crash
  • Anonymous installation identifier

This information does not include your personal habit data. It is used only to improve the stability and reliability of the App.

3.2 External Logging & Monitoring

We may use error tracking services such as Datadog or Sentry to monitor app performance and errors. This may include similar technical metadata as above, but never your habit data.

3.3 Subscription Management (RevenueCat)

We use RevenueCat, Inc. to manage in-app subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat receives transaction information from Apple App Store or Google Play (e.g., product purchased, subscription status) to enable premium features. RevenueCat does not receive your habit data.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share your information with third parties except:

  • To the extent necessary to provide subscription processing (via Apple, Google, and RevenueCat)
  • To collect crash/error diagnostics via trusted third-party services as described above
  • When required by law

5. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR in the EU, CCPA in California), you may have rights regarding your data, including:

  • The right to know what data is collected
  • The right to withdraw consent for crash reporting (note: crash logs are anonymous and cannot be individually identified or deleted)
  • The right to opt out of analytics data collection

Please note that Firebase Crashlytics crash logs are collected anonymously and cannot be individually identified or deleted upon request.

6. Data Security

  • Habit data is stored locally in a secure, encrypted database on your device.
  • We take reasonable measures to protect any technical data collected (such as crash logs).

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
